I have been working through this new publication “Crochet Boutique” by Rachael Oglesby. I am loving every pattern that I have tried thus far. The first pattern is an openwork beanie. I used Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand (I got this yarn on clearance at A.C. Moore for $1). One skein made 2 beanies which was great for me because I am keeping one for myself and selling the other on Etsy. I worked the hat up in about 30 minutes and this will be a good beginner project. In the pattern you have to slip stitch at the beginning of each row into the actual stitches. I think this is more to mark the beginning of the row & if you are a more experienced crocheter then you could slip stitch in the chain & keep up the rows. I loved the finished product.
