Skein 20

Finished skein 20 yay!! But now I have a dilemma, I need 1 – 2 skeins to finish the set. My dilemma is I should not be buying yarn but how else do I get this WIP finished? Well I am going to put this in my WIP pile and only buy a skein once I am finished with three skeins out of my stash. That means once I am at 23 I can buy a skein to finish up this WIP. I am hoping this will help me to progress through my destash efforts. It’s worth a shot.

Weaving In Ends

I loathe weaving in loose ends of yarn. I absolutely love the end result of my graphgans but I don’t like making them pretty. I have to weave in all those color change yarns and pretty up the end picture. I have considered just sewing a piece of fabric on it. I might try that hmmm maybe a good idea. Well I finally finished weaving in my loose ends on a gift blanket for a friend and she has patiently waited. Thanks Jen. Your blanket is on the way.

Tutu Wire basket $4

So I saw one of my daughters making a tutu for my grand babies and I got a bright idea. I decided to try to make a tutu basket. It was real simple and I am sure you could figure it out without a tutorial. However, I plan on doing a YouTube tutorial soon. I will post a link to the video when I finish it.  Don’t mind my little helper in the pictures.

Well, today I didn’t do it.

A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of
his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog.
Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the…

Destash Efforts

Ok so the purpose of the destash is to clean up. My yarn is moving me out of my house. Today as I inventoried my room I realize skeins are not my only problem, WIPs are lurking everywhere. For anyone reading this that is not craft savy or who is not familiar with the lingo a WIP is a “work in progress”. I am forever starting patterns then I get bored and down they go (not a good look). So now I have to establish some new goals that will help me take my house back, operation finish projects. So I got a cute basket by my bed that I am putting projects in to finish. I plan on assigning myself a deadline to finish them in and hopefully my ADD doesn’t kick in and sidetrack me (as it often does). Pray for me, this yarn is winning the war right now.
