Previously I discussed crocheting a Red Heart blanket (Sweet Baby Hexagon Blanket). The pattern was extremely easy to follow. It is a form of the bobble stitch so it uses more yarn than a double crochet stitch. I worked the blanket up fairly quickly and it is very heavy. I have to weave jin my ends and the blanket will be ready for pictures. Now I am moving on to a Woodsock Duster with Caron Simply Soft. Kind of iffy about my colors but 2 of the skeins came from my stash. I am making a big effort to stash bust in preparation for my upcoming move.
So I found yarn on clearance at Qally World aka Walmart for 75 cents a skein. Only a crafter wouls understand my excitement and the overwhelming feeling that I had to buy all of them. That is exactly what I did. The skeins were a lovely fall ombre color (see picture). Problem one, I have way too much yarn. Problem two, the yarn color change made for a not so pretty poncho/shawl. Three patterns later I decided to do a blanket. To be more specific I went with the Red Heart Sweet Baby Hexagon pattern. Now I have so many skeins that I am going to make it bigger then the pattern (for the sake of using up the yarn). I am loving how this blanket works up. The pattern has been very easy to follow. I can’t wait to share my finished project.
